Ingredients
  • 1 pie crust
  • 200 g of smoked bacon cubes
  • 100 g of grated Gruyère cheese
  • 3 eggs
  • 200 ml of heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Grated nutmeg, to taste
Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Roll out the pie crust in a pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork.

  2. In a skillet, cook the bacon cubes until golden brown. Drain them on paper towels.

  3. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the heavy cream. Season with salt, pepper, and grated nutmeg.

  4. Spread the cooked bacon cubes over the bottom of the pie crust. Sprinkle with grated Gruyère cheese. Pour the egg and cream mixture over the top.

  5. Bake the quiche for about 30 to 35 minutes, until golden and set.

  6. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
